Monastery Visit
Every year the Office of Vocations invites all women ages 14 to 30 who are open to the possibility of a religious vocation to spend the afternoon with the Discalced Carmelite Nuns.
The Discalced Carmelite Nuns are a small community of contemplative women whose lives are dedicated to prayer for the Church and for all people. They live in a wooded area 30 miles north of Houston at 1100 Parthenon Place in New Caney, Texas.
As a young woman you will have the opportunity to join the Carmelites for questions and answers, experience midday prayer with them in their chapel, followed by lunch and conversation.
