Priesthood Sunday

SOME TIPS FOR CELEBRATING PRIESTHOOD SUNDAY AT YOUR PARISH
The Annual Priesthood Sunday celebration is approaching and this is a great year to celebrate in a big way since it is the “Year of the Priest.”
Some ideas that your parish might consider are:
Homilist sharing his own vocation story.
Include a special intercession for your priests in the Prayers of the Faithful.
Ask the parishioners to “adopt” a priest and pray for him everyday, either as individual
or as family, during the Year of the Priest.
Include a special lesson for school and CCE students.
Invite school children and CCE students to take 10/15 minutes of the class to prepare
greeting cards for your parish priests.
Have a coffeecake reception after all of the masses to honor your priest.
