A native of Houston, I grew up and attended school at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church. I went on to Strake Jesuit for high school and from there to the University of Notre Dame. Although I had discerned entering the Jesuits for a while, I eventually entered law school at the University of Houston. By the end of that fall semester, however, further prayer compelled me to contact the Office of Vocations and enter the seminary.
